Today the class traveled to a local fish farm near Dourados. During our visit we learned about the fish farming methods in Brazil, which were adapted from the US, along with the different breeds of fish, the two most popular being Tilapia, a native fish, and catfish. The farmer prepared the class a delicious Tilapia feast for his appreciation of our class touring is facilities.

Today was also Brazil’s first world cup game against North Korean, which they won 2-1. We were able to immerse ourselves in their Futbol traditions through watching the game, experiencing, and participating in Brazilian spirit. Students had the opportunity to join in festivities with Dourados students at a game watching event.
